In September 2015, the 193 member countries of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; It consists mainly of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), in addition to the Addis Ababa Agreement and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. This new international framework follows the social agenda with the environmental agenda.
Although it may seem that it is an Agenda that remains in the international arena, the SDGs must be achieved by all countries, including ours, encompassing the three dimensions of sustainable development: social, economic and environmental with actions in state policies, autonomous and local.
The 2030 Agenda will not have any viability if the citizens and social, political and economic actors do not identify in it an opportunity for true change and solidarity prosperity within the limits of the planet.
For this, it is necessary to locate the Sustainable Development Goals as close as possible to the people, their concerns and their desires, hence the appropriation of them by society and local and regional administrations is a strategic step.
In this working day promoted by Amycos, the political and technical staff of the City Council and the Diputación de Burgos are approached to approach the contents and challenges of the 2030 Agenda through experiences that are already being developed in other municipalities and provinces. The day is also open to the participation of members of social organizations.
The morning part is more oriented to social action personnel or social entities that will directly disseminate the SDGs, while the afternoon part is designed to know what is being done in relation to the 2030 Agenda in various areas and territories.
This day is part of the campaign "Sustainable sustainable for all" and wants to be a first step for the administrations and social organizations in Burgos to start working on the location of the ODS in our province.
